The Caboelles de Arriba Multi-Use Building responds to the need to provide the building complex with a multifunctional solution, from a sustainable construction design perspective, both at a construction detail, as well as at a functional and energy level.
Sometimes the opportunity of a location responds to a need, an idea, a whimsical solution, an opportunity or simply to the existing reality. From the beginning of the idea, the use of what is available, under the premise of responsible building, is one of the generating parameters. The new construction is located on the remains of an old foundation of unfinished work, which conditions the location and geometry, seeking an advantageous solution from the strengths of this fact. The foundation presents a polygonal shape that is softened so as not to prioritise, seeking a unitary geometric proposition, simplifying the expression of the building without losing the current image and characteristic of a new architecture, bearing in mind that it is a building with a public and singular function.
